This work realised for the Delas fest is a bit different from what I usually do. In this mural, in addition to the texture of the wall, which allowed me to experiment with a new technique, I tried to add some realism to the work. After studying the information passed to me by the Festival organisation and the owners of the house, I tried to narrate the place through a story that embraces tradition, nature and culture. Soñar as flores depicts the great poetess Rosalia de Castro as she seeks inspiration for her poems at the foot of the Pont dos Morous. Legend has it that when a person was pure of heart, this population living underground (Morous) would appear to the lucky person and make a wish. I imagined one of its inhabitants (the women were said to be diaphanous and red-haired) helping the poetess search for her poetry, Rosalia in fact loved nature and despite being from a high social class, she wrote a lot about the plight of the peasants. That is why she wears a traditional campesino dress. I sincerely thank Delas fest ,7hcoop for inviting me to this event and for giving me the opportunity to share my time with three incredible artists such as Paula Calavera, Pri Barbosa and Maria.
